NHS App Help and Support
The Digital Support Hub will be at our Church Walk site on Monday October 18th from 9am until 12 noon to help patients with the NHS App. If you need some help in signing up or support in how to use the NHS App then please come along.
COVID Booster clinics
Clinics are being held at the surgery for COVID boosters. You are required to be 182 days post 2nd dose before a booster can be given. You will receive an invite to attend. Eastwood Primary Care Centre is using a new way to enable patients to book via a link sent to your mobile via text message. If you click on the link, enter your date of birth and amend the clinics to the dates instructed in the text. You will be able to choose a time and confirm the booking. This will avoid unnecessary waiting times on our phones lines. If, however, you have issues with this, please contact the surgery in the afternoon at our quieter telephone times. If you are eligible for a flu vaccine but haven't had this at the time of the COVID clinic we can give this at the same time.
A new local Community Cafe starts on Friday October 22nd 10-11.30am and will run every 2 weeks at Rumbletums in Kimberley
Local History Group
A new local history group starts on Wednesday 29 September at 3pm at the Old Wine Vaults Church Street Eastwood. The initial meeting will be a meet and greet and an open discussion to determine the topics of the next meeting. Tea, Coffee and cake will be available to purchase during the meeting or any other beverage of choice. Please feel free to take any items of interest with you to the meeting ie photos, books etc

Help and Support with the NHS App
If you have any problems with the app there is a dedicated support line available for people in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County to contact, which offers free help with downloading and registering for the NHS App.

Over the last couple of months we have noticed an increase in the aggression and use of abusive language our staff are receiving.
We would like to remind our patients that we are working very hard to meet the needs of all our patients and any form of aggression, abuse or use of bad language towards our team will not be tolerated.
If you are unhappy or have any concerns we would request that these are raised in the appropriate manner.

From July 19th, the EPCC Team will continue to wear face masks, and other PPE as required, to protect our patients and our colleagues and prevent possible infections.
We politely request that patients coming into the surgery continue to wear a mask also please.

Church Walk and Church Street Sites
Our doors are now open and so there is now no need to ring the bell beforehand, but we do still need to manage footfall in the surgery to keep everyone safe. Can we please ask that you do not arrive too early for your appointment and use the external prescription request box at the side of the Church Walk site instead of bringing this to reception.
Patients requiring GP services should contact the Surgery by telephoning 01773 304700.
The receptionist will ask the patient to provide a few basic details regarding the nature of the call and, if appropriate, put the patient on a GP’s triage list. This information is to help the GP prioritise the patients’ needs.
The GP will telephone the patient (usually the same day, depending on the urgency and timing of the request). Up to 2 telephone attempts will made. Patients should have their telephone close by so as to avoid missing the call. The caller ID will be from a private/unknown caller.
The GP will ask the patient questions and determine the course of treatment. This may be the GP booking a face-to-face appointment with a GP, Advanced Clinical Practitioner, a Practice Pharmacist, a Nurse or another clinician. It could also be providing advice over the phone, issuing a prescription, or making a referral to another service for tests and/or investigations.
