Demonstrating Your Covid 19 Vaccination Status When Travelling Abroad

From 17 May, you may be able to show your COVID-19 vaccination status as proof of your status when travelling abroad. Please see the Covid 19 Information under Clinics and Services for more details.

Please do not contact your GP surgery about your COVID-19 vaccination status. GPs cannot provide letters showing your COVID-19 vaccination status.

Accessing GP Services

Patients requiring GP services should contact the Surgery by telephoning 01773 304700. 

The receptionist will ask the patient to provide a few basic details regarding the nature of the call and, if appropriate, put the patient on a GP’s triage list. This information is to help the GP prioritise the patients’ needs. 

The GP will telephone the patient (usually the same day, depending on the urgency and timing of the request). Up to 2 telephone attempts will made. Patients should have their telephone close by so as to avoid missing the call. The caller ID will be from a private/unknown caller.

The GP will ask the patient questions and determine the course of treatment. This may be the GP booking a face-to-face appointment with a GP, Advanced Clinical Practitioner, a Practice Pharmacist, a Nurse or another clinician. It could also be providing advice over the phone, issuing a prescription, or making a referral to another service for tests and/or investigations.

The Macmillan Beyond Diagnosis Gateway is a single point of access for all none-clinical needs a person with cancer may be experiencing. They work with anyone OVER 18 and can also support friends and family of people who have a cancer diagnosis. More details can be found at Opening Times/Help and Support

What is a Patient Participation Group? 

A Patient Participation Group is a group of active patient volunteers who work in partnership with the doctors, nurses and administration staff to offer the patient perspective on the services provided in the practice.

Eastwood Primary Care Centre is fortunate to have a very supportive and proactive PPG team.

The PPG meet on average every 6/8 weeks currently via Zoom, with meetings lasting between 1 -1.5 hours 

The team have been involved with awareness campaigns, staff training and actively support the flu clinics.  They lead the development and implementation of practice patient surveys, with a focus on "helping the practice identify patients needs and views".
