Flu and COVID Vaccination Clinic Update.

We would like to apologise to all our patients who experienced long waits at our clinic on Saturday. Unfortunately, things did not run as smoothly as usual and we fell below our normal standard.

Many patients were disappointed that they weren’t eligible for the COVID vaccination this year. Conversations with our clinicians took far longer than planned, which in turn caused delays for others waiting to be seen.

Please note that EPCC (and all other Primary Care surgeries) must follow NHS England’s eligibility criteria – we don’t decide who qualifies.

If you wish to provide feedback or make a complaint regarding the eligibility criteria, you can contact NHS England directly at:

www.england.nhs.uk/contact-us/

We would also like to give a huge thank you to our dedicated team members who gave up their weekend to run the clinic. They worked tirelessly under challenging circumstances and, unfortunately, faced many instances of rudeness. While patients have the right to be treated with respect and dignity in all their dealings with the NHS, we ask that our staff are treated with the same respect and consideration in return.

Eligibility for the COVID vaccine (as per NHS England):

✅ Aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 31 January 2026)

✅ Aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system due to a health condition or treatment

✅ Residents of care homes for older adults

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
