What is a Patient Participation Group?
A Patient Participation Group is a group of active patient volunteers who work in partnership with the doctors, nurses and administration staff to offer the patient perspective on the services provided in the practice.
Eastwood Primary Care Centre is fortunate to have a very supportive and proactive PPG team.
The PPG meet on average every 6/8 weeks currently via Zoom, with meetings lasting between 1 -1.5 hours
The team have been involved with awareness campaigns, staff training and actively support the flu clinics. They lead the development and implementation of practice patient surveys, with a focus on “helping the practice identify patients needs and views”.
We are currently in need of some younger members to ensure we are more reflective of the practice population.
If you would like to join please ask to speak to Sarah Petter or Diane Rowley at the practice.
